Obituary of Mary Margaret Biafore Tichenor

Mary Margaret Biafore Tichenor, 90, of Fairmont passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2020, at the John Manchin Senior Healthcare Center. She was born in Fairmont on December 25, 1929, a daughter of the late Salvatore Biafore and Rose Urso Biafore. Mary is survived by two daughters, Linda Rosenberger and her husband Danny of Fairmont and Pam Tennant and her boyfriend Bruce Anderson of Fairmont; four grandchildren, Adam Rosenberger and his wife Missy of Richmond, VA, Scott Rosenberger and his wife Britney of Fairmont, Eric Rosenberger of Fairmont, and Michelle Judy and her husband Tyson of Charleston; six great grandchildren, Hanna, Abby, Isaac, and Ayla Rosenberger and Myles and Julian Judy; three brothers, Richard Biafore, Danny Biafore, and Virgil Biafore; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband Gail Tichenor; brothers, Frank Beafore, Dominick Biafore, Samuel “Yeeb” Biafore, and Anthony “Hico” Biafore; and sisters, Louise Merrill, Katy Gregg, and Angeline Biafore. Mary was a member of The Baptist Temple and worked at Jenny Shop, Carriage Shop, and Warehouse Groceries. She enjoyed cooking, baking, having company over, and spending time with family and friends. The family would like to extend their thanks to Mary’s caregivers at the John Manchin Senior Healthcare Center. The family has entrusted care and arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV. In accordance with Mary’s wishes, her body will be cremated. We appreciate in this time with the COVID-19 pandemic that attending a visitation may not be in your best interest. Please be with us in prayer. Should you be able to celebrate her life, friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday, September 5, 2020, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. The memorial service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 7 p.m. with Dr. Allan Copenhaver officiating.
