I just learned of Mr. Kisner’s passing. I have such tremendously fond memories of him and his mom and dad. I grew up across from them and often our table had produce they shared with us. Later as an adult I again lived in my childhood home and he would walk my garden with me and I learned so much. He made wooden toys for my daughter. We would talk about the critters trying to get his blueberries or apples. One time after sharing some of our meal with him he asked me for my recipe and I felt honored. He would remind me how much I really needed those black snakes around our property to keep out the copperheads. And at Halloween he always gave out full size candy bars. One of the most generous souls I have ever met. Mr. Kisner - you taught me more about loving our earth and how to be a good neighbor than any other person and you will be missed.
