Hi Linda,
I just found this site while looking for some graphics of Barrackville. I am sorry for your loss but so pleased that I was privileged to meet Dan at our class reunion. May God walk tenderly with you through the grieving process.
In God's Care,

My acquaintance with Dan was limited to golf trips which we shared and subsequent correspondence over several years. I quickly developed genuine respect for him and that respect grew significantly as our friendship progressed over time. It was always a pleasure to be with him. No doubt he will be sorely missed by his family, many friends and associates, but may all find a measure of comfort in fond memories of this fine gentleman.

Chief was the first and, ultimately, the best Warrant Office I ever worked with. I was spoiled as no other has ever lived up to my expectations engrained by this wonderful Soldier, man and mentor. My sincere condolences to his family.

Linda & family,
I was saddened to hear of Danny's death. My mom loved Danny so much and never missed an opportunity to tell us how wonderful he was! He was very kind to her and she so looked forward to his visits to Scranton, especially in her later years. A few years back, Danny invited me & my sister to be his guests at a Veterans Day luncheon at the Vice-President's residence. It was a wonderful day, we got to see him in his "environment" and it was evident that he had rose to the top in his field and was very well respected. I will always cherish that day. It is with immeasurable sadness that I send this condolence. Love, Onnie, Frank, Harry & Abby

My friend Dan Logan and I go back almost forty years - and our friendship and military collaboration is too rich and long to do it justice in this forum ... suffice it to say we have been always connected if not in close contact. That is how the Army and military is ... you have special friends - family - that you may be away from for years, and yet when you see each other again it is like it was just five minutes ago you last spoke. Dan Logan was the kind of person you just wanted to be with - share a quiet story, see him help others 'see' aspects of their lives or duty they might otherwise overlook - unfailingly signal respect and acceptance. He did not seek the limelight - and yet he stood in it with a manner that caused you to admire him, trust him, respect and want to love him as a friend and leader. My love and heart go out to my friend Linda and all of Chief Warrant Officer (CW5) Logan's accomplished family. They say that people continue to live as long as others say their name, recall their goodness and in Dan's case seek to emulate their contributions to others ... Logan, Dan, will always be with us. I do love you, my dear friend - very respectfully, Harrison, J.

I consider Dan to be my brother as he was my mentor while on active duty. I was appointed an warrant officer 30 Dec 1983 and reported to my first duty station at Fort Polk, LA and Dan took me under his wings and mentored me into the man and person I am today, my condolences to the family and I send prayers and he will truly be missed.

To my GOMO Battle Buddy, friend for life and his loving family, Dan's memory and legacy will continue to shine bright because he touched so many people in a positive way during his lifetime. It was such an honor to know this man who was like a brother to me. He was a "gentleman" in every sense of the word. He was a professional Soldier for whom other Soldiers wanted to emulate. He was a friend when one needed a friend the most. His comedic timing was impeccable and always welcomed. He was a true family man. Man, did he love his family! I remember him pacing the floors in the GOMO Pit when Brittany was about to make her entry into this world. He was so out of character because Dan always had the cool, calm presence of an old pro. But, I wish you could have seen him because he was going every which way but loose and the sheer joy registered on his face when he informed the rest of us, it was just priceless! Death is not the end, it is only a transition to a greater world to come. I am convinced Dan is there and pacing the heavenly floors in anticipation of the arrival of loved ones much the way he did before. I salute my dear friend and fellow Soldier. Rest in peace good warrior, your job is done and you did it well. Very respectfully, Rob.

Dan, also known to me as Supremo, was both a mentor and friend to me. Over the years, he helped me make difficult decisions and saved me from myself a time or two. Dan was intelligent, funny, reasonable, and kind. Because he usually sat at the head table for professional events, we joked that he was so special that I had to worship him from afar. I never failed to admire him. His intelligent goodness was also reflected in his choice of brides. Dan and Linda were perfectly matched and both became my friends. I mourn the loss of Dan and pray for Linda's comfort and well-being during this tragic time.
Rest in peace Supremo. This world is less without you in it. I'll still ask you to send advice now and again as I admire you from afar.
