Obituary of Joseph William Gruber

Mr. Joseph William Gruber, 68 years of age of Wheeling, WV passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Fairmont Regional Medical Center, Fairmont, WV. He was born March 22, 1951 in Wheeling, WV the son of the late Charles and Eleanor Carney Gruber. He is survived by two brothers Charles Gruber and wife Pat and Robert Gruber and wife Peggy; three sisters Mary Pat Gruber, Judy Lewis and Jane Kilpatrick and ten nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a sister Cindy Gruber. Joe was a graduate of Central Catholic High School in Wheeling and attended West Liberty State College. He served his country in the United States Coast Guard. He had been an employee of Cardinal Health and was the former operator of Gruber Photography. He enjoyed working seasonally at Oglebay Park. He was a bus tour guide for the annual Winter Festival of Lights. A private service will be held at a later date at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Wheeling, WV.
