Becky and Bobbi…I’m so sorry! She was absolutely the best! She was my most favorite teacher of my life! She always remembered me no matter where we were, telling me how I looked like my Mom. Please know and I know you know that she was a pillar of Barrackville and will be missed. Thanks for sharing her with me. Love you. Vickie Hurt Tennant

Gary and I were so very sorry to hear of Mrs Bane passing . Mrs Bane was our favorite teacher in grade school! She and I talked several times during the past years. She was wonderful example of a true Christian love in all she did. May the Lord comfort and bless you.

My heart is heavy from hearing about the loss of my mentor and friend Jean Bane. Memories take me back in time to the mid 70’s and walking into Mrs. Bane’s classroom as a student teacher. Book smart but clearly not ready for the real world of becoming a teacher. With time, Jean graciously molded me and gave me the tools that I would need to survive and succeed during my next thirty eight years in teaching. I’ve often wondered if I would have survived in the teaching profession if not for the kindness and wisdom that Jean Bane afforded me. Her light will always shine brightly within my heart and all the hearts of the people she touched. My sincere condolences to Bobbi and all the Bane family.

Such a wonderful, classy, beautiful lady. She was my fifth grade Teacher and I got to watch the first man walk on the moon in her class. (1969) She made everything so special and memorable. I hope her family knows how much she was loved by everyone and what a true inspiration she was. She will truly be missed.

What wonderful memories of Mrs. Bane as my 5th grade teacher many years ago. Her love of children was always apparent. While she was blessed with a long, happy life, we were all blessed to have her as part of our lives. Deepest sympathies to her family, friends and the Barrackville community who will miss her presence.

I’m so sorry for your loss Mrs.Morhman. I remember having your mother in the 5th grade. She was the sweetest lady and teacher I’ve ever had. I just loved her. I remember a bracelet she wore that had oval shaped stones in it and was really pretty. She was so pretty. When my dad (Bill Boore) did our geneology your mother is in it. I’ll be praying for your strength and comfort to get through this hard time.
