Many times I have wondered what that funny, talented and energetic Chris was doing and I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing. Chris was a great friend and was at the core of a group of engaging people in High School. I tried to blame his incredible spirit for the trouble we incurred at Junior Achievement but my Mom wouldn't buy it. I hope that laughter and love followed him all of his days and that his children know Chris as the incredible person he was for us.

Although I knew this day would come, it was still a shock to hear the news from brother Tim. I played with Chris and Tim in the Del Rays band back in the seventies and early eighties and was always amazed at what a natural musician Chris was, and how fluent he was in several different instruments. We would crack each other up on stage with various antics, but my man never missed a beat! One by one the Del Rays are joining back together in heaven's house band, as Tim and I are the only ones left to hold it down on earth. Miss you Chris, and hold me a seat until I get there!

I am so very sorry to hear of Chris' passing . I met Chris back in the 1980's when he worked for Bill Brandli . I played drums for my Mom's bands over the years and we were the House Band at The Villa which is now El Rincon . So I would go over and stock up on my sticks . And when Chris was playing with Bobby at Ceasars Supper Club if we weren't playing I would go listen to them . Back in the day musicians were family . So I feel I have lost a brother . My Mom passed away over a year ago , so I know that there is some great music being played in Heaven . My thoughts and prayers are with you all .
