I just found out about Rick's passing. I actually came up from Buckhannon to Fairmont and, since the phone was disconnected, attempted to stop by. I just had a strange feeling and googled him and saw this obituary.
First, my condolences to family and friends. I would have come up for the funeral had I known. I did stop by the gravesite as well.
If you knew Rick, you know he had a goofy sense of humor, like myself. We actually met at Aegis, when he was wearing a Three Stooges tie the same day I wore a Stooges t shirt. We started talking and got along great from the start.
We had a running inside joke regarding the "poo" emoji, and it became a sort of Christmas gift tradition. I mean no offense with what I left at the gravesite, but I did have a few things for him I brought with me and left one there.
I will share a picture so you know. He would definitely appreciate the sentiment, and if he saw me from Heaven I'm sure he had a nice chuckle.
Again, I'm sorry I didn't hear of this until now, and please don't anybody be offended by my memento. I just wanted anybody who might stop by to know where it came from and what it represented.
RIP, my good friend.
