I had the distinct honor of getting to know Big Aaron at work for a few years, working overnights. We had some great conversations and laughs. I was absolutely heartbroken when I heard that he passed, he was such a great guy. He was one of the strongest men I have ever seen, I recall many times watching him lift boxes of ceramic flooring like it was a bag of feathers, and I'd joke with him that he should've been a professional wrestler. There is no doubt in my mind that he would've given his life to save anybody, he was always watching out for our safety and giving us reminders. I can honestly say, Aaron was one of the best people I have ever known, and I will forever miss hearing him yell "OOORAH! MARINE!" across the store when he saw me. I imagine when he got to the other side in Heaven, he asked God to make him a guarding angel, that's the kind of guy he was.

I can't put into words how sorry I am for your loss. I never got to see the man that Aaron grew up to be. He was such a sweet boy growing up. I didn't get to see the family too much but it was always a treat, usually on the holidays. He had his mother's good-hearted nature and her kindness. Aaron you will be greatly missed but always remembered. Rest in peace.
Love,
Cousin Sandy

Oh Aaron. We grew up together just across the street. 3 houses down and we owned the neighborhood. There wasn’t a corner of our tiny world that we didn’t explore and create such imaginative adventures. I remember trying to steal a backhoe even though our feet couldn’t reach the floor. From eating crab apples till we were sick to devouring grilled cheese sandwiches, we were like the little princes of Ohio avenue. I trust that God kicked the gates of heaven wide open for you and you are safe in His loving arms. You were such a big part of my childhood and I never lost sight of that after we left that beautiful street. I send prayers of strength for your amazing family and will never forget their care and compassion for every kid in that neighborhood, including myself. You were the first friend I ever had.

Very sorry to hear this. Aaron was one of my drum line brothers that I truly looked up to. We stood together in the hottest of days and the coldest of nights providing the pulse that kept everyone in step and the adrenaline that gave everyone energy. We worked hard and laughed harder. Rest easy my friend, we will continue the cadence for now but will fall in line when we meet again.
