Obituary of Nora Marie Fleming

Mrs. Nora Marie Fleming, 84 years of age of Bridgeport, WV and formerly of Moundsville, WV and Vero Beach, FL passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at United Hospital Center. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Lorena Abraham Matiasek. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard W. Fleming in 2015. She is survived by a daughter Joyce Wunderlich and her husband Carl; four grandchildren Tiffany Osman and her husband Ahmed and their sons Noah and Logan, Michael Wunderlich and his wife Alexis and their son Austin, Melissa Mikes and her husband Sam and their daughter Blossom and Randy Beaver and a brother John Matiasek and his wife Laurel of Vero Beach, FL. She was also preceded in death by a son Richard David Fleming and a sister Adele Woodard. Nora previously worked as a head cashier for Kroger in Moundsville, WV. Following retirement, Nora and Richard made their home for many years at Vero Beach, FL. She was an avid reader and in the 1960’s she performed in many community minstrels. The family appreciates the support from her nieces and nephews in Florida who helped care for her, the Eucharistic Ministers from Immaculate Conception and All Saints Catholic Churches for providing communion the past four years. Also, they want to thank the nurses and aides from Meadowview Manor for the excellent care given to their mother. With the Holidays approaching, the family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to the food bank of Shepherd’s Corner, PO Box 101, Bridgeport, WV 26330. Due to Covid-19, the family will celebrate a private funeral mass at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Clarksburg. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.fordfuneralhomes.com.
