Obituary of John B. Cutlip

John B. Cutlip, 85, of Fairmont, went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at his residence. He was born April 24, 1935 in Fairmont, WV a son of the late Isaac B. and Irene B. Beasley Cutlip. Mr. Cutlip was a graduate of East Fairmont High School and a member of the Quiet Dell Baptist Church. He became a follower of Jesus at the age of 83. John was a self-employed contractor. He was a gifted architect and designed many buildings in Fairmont. He loved restoring old cars. John loved cats and owned three currently. He enjoyed telling stories and reminiscing old memories. Survivors include his sons, Scott and his wife Marla Cutlip of the Mudlick Community, and Brian and his wife Mikki Cutlip of the Mill Fall Community, eleven grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and his ex-wife and friend, Rose Marie Cutlip of the Quiet Dell Community. He was preceded in death by his son John Pat Cutlip, and his sisters, Ruby Mundell and Louise Wilson. Memorial donations may be made to the Quiet Dell Baptist Church, 2272 East Grafton Road, Fairmont, WV 26554. The family has entrusted the Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont with the services. A graveside committal service will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 11AM at the Prunty-Vincent Cemetery at Williams’ Crossroads in Fairmont, WV.
