Obituary of Lou Ann Griffin Snider

Lou Ann Griffin Snider, 57, of Wyatt Rd., Shinnston, WV, passed away Saturday afternoon in Wyatt Community. She was born July 22, 1958 in Harrison County, daughter of Clara Jean Jefferies Griffin of Wyatt Community and the late Glen Taylor Griffin. Mrs. Snider was a graduate of Mannington High School in 1976. She later graduated from West Virginia University as a radiologist and x-ray technician. She was employed with Summitt Center of Harrison County, WV as a caregiver with 7 years of service. Lou Ann enjoyed spending quality time with her family, Royce and Clara Jean. She loved nature, reading, quilting, and cooking for her family. Survivors include 2 sons; Glen R. Snider of Millersville Community and Derek A. and his wife Melinda Snider of New Cumberland, PA, a daughter, Courtney Post of Carlisle, PA, Her grandchild, Royce Snider of New Cumberland, PA, a brother, Glen David Griffin of Wyatt Community, 2 sisters and their spouses; Linda and Gary Snodgrass of Moundsville, WV and Paula and Alen Carson of Lewisburg, WV, a dear friend, Jennifer Stackpole of Bridgeport, WV, her Peora United Methodist Church family, several nieces and nephews, and Pearl and Bonnie and all animals she cared for. Family and friends may call at Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, WV from 11am until 1pm on Thursday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Thursday, June 30, 2016, at 1pm, with Pastor Harry Holbert officiating. Burial will follow in Wyatt Cemetery in Wyatt Community.
