After moving to Deerfield, Melissa and I became incredibly close. I would share meals with her, redecorated her bedroom and had countless conversations and shared our dry wits and sarcasm. She was bright, beautiful, charming and witty. I spent many evenings at her home, comforting her and helping her through her very difficult life of illness. Her severe illness took a wonderful teacher who loves what she had the opportunity to do. Even in sickness, she volunteered at the hospital, always well dressed and ready to comfort those who faced difficult times. She was my confidente, My friend and I'm shaken and sad to hear of her passing. My condolences to you and yours, GW and Abby. With tremendous sorrow, Becky Hinkle
