Obituary of Sue Ellen Haught

Sue “Susie” Ellen Haught, 60, of Fairmont, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2020. She was born August 12, 1960 in Fairmont, WV to Rose D. Fluharty Haught and the late Truman H. Haught. Susie was a baptized member of the Oakwood Road Church of Christ in Fairmont. She had previously worked with the Valley Health Care as a receptionist, as well as with the Op Shop in Fairmont. Susie had enjoyed bowling in the Special Olympics. She was a member of the Disability Action Center. She loved drawing, coloring, The Wizard of Oz, John Denver, and her cats. She was preceded in death by her favorite cat “Calico”. In addition to her mother, Susie is survived by her sister, Julie and her husband William Mike of Katy, her sister by choice and best friend, Tonya Craig, her nieces and nephews, Megan and her husband David Lake, Mya Willis, and Hunter Mike, her great nieces and nephews, Lance Corporal Damian Hughes, Zoe Willis, Hope Canfield, Daylin Lake, and Ashtin Lake The family has entrusted care and arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV. Our dear sister deserves a beautiful tribute. However, we appreciate in the unknown time with the COVID-19 pandemic that attending a visitation may not be in your best interest. Should you be able to celebrate her life, friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 from 2PM until 4PM and from 6PM until 8PM, as well as on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 from 11AM until 1PM. The funeral will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at 1PM with Evangelist Brent Gallagher officiating. The interment will follow at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Fairmont.
