This beautiful lady was my neighbor. I've thought often of her lovely family. How kind they were to new neighbors. Always a smile and a wave. My sister in Christ, your suffering is over. To your family, always remember and feast on those memories of the best gift given to you all, Jody. Until we all meet again, love Adrienne.

There were so many good times in the bleachers when the kids were little, watching Post 68, Jody would get mad at Adam for leading off...she'd threaten him with walking home if he got picked off! Always supportive of her family. Once Adam and Christopher were at Gooch and Jody's house, and she let them shave with spoons. That was a neat time! She will be missed. Prayers for her family.

The last time I saw Jody was at another family gathering two years ago. She and Steve sat across the table from me at the luncheon. That day she looked so beautiful. She glowed with happiness. I remember talking about the new mini pots that just had been introduced; Jody had one and almost convinced me that I needed one too! Years ago during a very sad time in my life Jody reached out and provided me with an unmeasurable amount of comfort. It meant so much to me at the time and still does. I will think of you Jody when I look up at the sky at night. I know you will be one of the brightest stars up there!

Jody was a joy and will be missed by all who knew her. We first met Jody at our BUMC preschool where she was one of our son's teachers. She will be remembered for her smiling face and the kind person she was. I still remember her sitting in the classroom one specific day with a valentine headband on her head that had hearts attached to it during the children's valentine's party.
Thoughts and prayers to her family ,
Ranae Stanley ( son and former preschooler Colby Stanley)

Jody was a warm, gracious person with a beautiful soul. I loved being around her at family gatherings and sharing stories about our children and grandchildren. I know her passing leaves a giant gap in the Holbert family. When I was a teenager at Ocean City with all of my cousins, Steve was always talking about Jody. He loved her then.

Jody was a girly girl but tough too. I didn't know her that well but I liked her spunk! She was bright too!! Glad she had a lifetime with her sweetheart. May God bless her families to carry them through this terrible sad time. '73 Teresa (Cummings) Breeden

Gooch,
You are a very lucky man to have found the love of your life and to have spent the time you had with a woman like her. Not many get to have a marriage like you both had. I know it will be very difficult to be without your partner in life. Cherish the time God blessed you with together and cherish the countless memories you have.
Josh/Adam,
I know she was very loving toward Alex when he had her in pre-school. I know that was an indication of how much of a loving mother she must have been. You, too, were lucky to have a mom like her. You both are a reflection of her and your dad and prove to everyone the type of person she was.
So sorry to have lost someone so special to this world but it is a better place to have had her for the time she was in it. God has promised to comfort those who mourn.

Gooch, Josh, Adam & family: Dennis and I have been praying for all of you. Jody was a wonderful person and will be missed so much. Her sense of humor was untouched. I have always thought the love you two have for each other equals that of Nancy & Ronald Reagan...and that is a good thing! I seriously know of no others that love like you two do. May God give you grace and peace to deal with your loss and comfort knowing that Jody is no longer suffering, but in the presence of the Lord and all of her loved ones that have gone home before her. We will continue to keep all of you in prayer. Please know that we are here if you need anything. Much love to all of you, Dennis & Donna Gwinn

Jody was a flower girl at Don's and Judy's wedding . She carried a basket of rose petals but was too petrified to throw any on the aisle as she processed in. How adorable is that!!!!! Don and Judy always felt like she was their little daughter and loved her so much. Her entire life she spread sunshine with her personality and radiant smile. We will miss her. A donation has been sent to WVU Medicine Hospice in her name. Our prayers and condolences are with the family.. May God hold you in the hollow of his hand in your pain.
Love,
Judy and Randy Ivens and Robin Hernandez

Jody was always a peppy happy and very kind young lady. That’s why she was an easy pick as a cheerleader.
My heart cries with the family! Too young to leave us but Heaven is our Reward. She is rejoicing & Praising Jesus around the Throne. Many are Welcoming her home! She has true Peace & Joy and no more pain or sickness.

Sending love and prayers to Gooch and the entire family. I went to school with Jody and enjoyed hanging out at her house when we were teens. She was a fantastic cheerleader, so full of sound and energy. We were in the band together too. Band camps were always fun and lots of laughs. So many Memories. Godspeed my friend. My God wrap his loving arms around the family and give all the comfort and strength needed to endure the days ahead.
