Obituary of Warren B. Wysner

Warren B. Wysner, age 96, passed away on May 20, 2020 in Lexington, SC. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Reed Wysner; parents, Emar and Margaret Wysner and sister, Janet Summers. Dr. Wysner was a longtime resident and Optometrist in Fairmont, WV. In later years, he resided in Pawleys Island, SC and Lexington, SC. He graduated from Fairmont Senior High in 1942 and Northern Illinois College of Optometry in 1950, after which he practiced Optometry in Fairmont for 45 years. He was a fellow in the American Academy of Optometry, and member of the American and West Virginia Optometric Associations. Dr. Wysner was a proud veteran of World War II having served in England as part of the 8th Army Air Force. He was a member of the VFW, Disabled American Veterans, and the American Legion. He attended the Episcopal Church in Fairmont and Pawleys Island. He is survived by his daughter, Joan Reese and husband, Craig of Stanley, NC and his son, Robert Wysner and wife, Debbie of Lexington, SC. Also surviving are grandchildren, Amanda Mead and husband, Matthew of Greer, SC and Laura Reese of Raleigh, NC. Additionally, he is survived by great-grandson, Everett Mead; nieces, Margo Summers of Clarksburg, WV, Suzanne Harvey and husband, Charles of Woodbridge, VA, and nephew, Jay Summers and wife, Sherry of Delaware, OH.
