Obituary of John Edwin Kiefer

John Edwin “Jack” Kiefer passed away May 19, 2020 at the Courtland Acres Nursing Home in Thomas, WV of natural causes. He was born to Harry and Sophie Knettel Kiefer on Sept 30, 1931 in Queens, NY. Jack was an Episcopalian by faith. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served in Korea. Jack lived life on his own terms. He moved to Fairmont after retiring from GTE phone company in Florida where he served as the office administrator. He chose to live in Fairmont after driving thru and loved it. He liked to snow ski, go to the casinos, and dearly loved his dogs. Jack had a special friend in Martha Finamore, also Alan and Wendy Parks, Jim Sago, Beth Cleavenger, and all the folks at Say-Boys Restaurant. Many thanks to Courtland Acres for the great care he received these last few years. The services have been entrusted to the Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV.
