Obituary of Maxine Thompson
Maxine Thompson, 93, of Ocean Springs, Mississippi died Wednesday, May 13, 2020 in the Ocean Springs Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born August 8, 1926 in Uniontown, PA the daughter of the late John Thomas Guy & Rubie Catherine Layman Guy. She was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Elias Thompson on January 27, 1998.
She is survived by a son and daughter in law Ross & Sue Thompson of Wesley Chapel, Florida, a cousin Jerry Huffman of Worthington, WV, many nieces & nephews and a special friend Helen Valentine of Rivesville, WV. She was preceded in death by a brother John Thomas Guy Jr. and a cousin Ruby Page.
Mrs. Thompson was a former secretary for the R.C.A. Electronic Corporation in California. She was a former member of the Highlawns United Methodist Church in Rivesville, WV and was now a member of the First United Methodist Church in Gautier, MS. Maxine was a graduate of Rivesville High School.
