I am so very sorry to hear of Dr. Hardway's passing. I served in the BSC SGA in 1970-71 as the Academic Representative. I returned to BSC where I was Professor, Dean, and interim President twice serving 35 years, plus I am an alum (1971).
One memory to share: when the Student Union bathroom exploded in 1969 (I believe), I walked down the SU steps and Dr. Hardway was sitting on the landing looking very dejected, head on hands. I did not speak. I was on my way home from class when the PE building was blown and in the PE Building when the SU was blown. A very difficult time to be President of BSC, but then, there has been no easy time to be the leader at BSC: its saga continues.
