Obituary of Kevin Duane Wallace
Kevin Duane Wallace, 66, of Fairmont, WV passed away on April 19, 2020 at his home. He was born in Lorain, OH, November 27, 1953 a son of the late Lloyd and Mildred Crisp Wallace. He is survived by his loving wife Frances Louise Watkins Wallace.
Kevin was a 1972 graduate of Lorain High School in Lorain, OH where he played on the state championship basketball team, was the first African American school class president and valedictorian, won the academic challenge show while on the school debate team and was active in the school choir and student council. He attended Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH.
Kevin was a Regional Manager for Jantech Building Services. He was also previously employed by Promotional Trim Conversion Inc. and UPSCO Company. He was a member of Jehovah’s Witness Congregation of Fairmont. He enjoyed music, golfing and singing karaoke. Kevin deeply loved his wife, family and friends. He was very caring and happy person.
In addition to his wife Frances, Kevin is survived by his step sons Willie White Jr. of Morgantown, Jasmen White and his wife Candace of Coraopolis, PA and Jeromey White of Fairmont and his step daughter Patience Gervasi and her husband Steven of Monongah. He is also survived by 10 step grandchildren: Jeromey White Jr., Mahogany White, Zyonnah White, Josiah White, Malachi White, Azaiah White, Steven Gervasi Jr., Elijah Gervasi, Brookelynn Washington & Kameron Turner, 5 brothers and 5 sisters in laws Lloyd “Monk” & Dee Wallace, Vernon & Denise Wallace, Kent & Pat Wallace, Phillip & Susan Wallace and Kyle & Patricia Wallace, 3 sisters Rachael Durr, Electa Faye Wallace and Delores Peyton, a step mother Dorothy Gooden-Wallace, 2 step brothers David L. Gooden and Dennis E. Gooden, 2 step sisters Elaine Gooden-Young and Linda Gooden, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd & Mildred Crisp Wallace, a brother Sean M. Wallace, his grandparents Ira & Leola Wallace and Oliver & Mary Crisp and an aunt Ora Lee Wynn.
We have entrusted arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, WV 26554. My dear husband deserves a beautiful tribute. However, I appreciate in this time with the COVID-19 pandemic that attending a visitation or funeral may not be in your best health interest. Please be with us in prayer. There will be no public visitation or funeral. All services will be private.
