Obituary of Jean Louise Linn

Jean Louise Linn, 85, passed away from this life and heaven gained an angel on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at her home. She was born August 28, 1934 in Fairmont, a daughter of the late James Furbee and Edna Tucker Furbee. Jean retired in December 1993 from Fairmont General Hospital after 27 years of service in the Laundry Department. She attended St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. She is survived by four daughters and a son Pam and Gary Pigott, Patty and Butch Vigna, Kim and Terry Dumire, Cristal and Bruce O’Neal, and Rusty and Pam Linn all of Fairmont. Her grandchildren; Matt and Jenifer Pigott, Tori and Matt Keener, Traci and Pete Brosnihan, Aimee and Jimmy Lashaway, Josh and Carrie Linn, Tricia Vigna, Kyleigh and Taylor McAllister, Zach Linn, Seth and Hayley O’Neal, Kaitlinn O’Neal, and Jacob Dumire. Furbee and Thomas T. Furbee; and her sister Mary Jane Esultante. Jeanie was a loving, devoted mother, sister, aunt, neighbor, and friend. Her favorite role was being the best “Nanny” ever. She was definitely a people person and lived for her “Sundays” when she prepared the best Sunday dinners. Her motto was “the more the merrier”. Jeanie never met a stranger. Her passing leaves a huge hole in our hearts, but this is not goodbye – just so long for now. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Amedisys Hospice for their wonderful support and care. We have entrusted arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, West Virginia 26554. Our dear mother, grandmother and great grandmother deserves a beautiful tribute. However, we appreciate in this time with the COVID-19 pandemic that attending a visitation or funeral may not be in your best health interest. Please be with us in prayer. There will be no public visitation or funeral. All services will be private. The public is encouraged to celebrate her life through condolences at www.FORDFUNERALHOMES.com.
