Obituary of John Thomas Elsey

John Thomas (Tom) Elsey, 71 of Bridgeport, passed away on March 22, 2020, at West Virginia University Hospitals J.W. Ruby Memorial in Morgantown, of a massive stroke. Tom was born in Clarksburg on March 7, 1949, to Jean Robinson Lytle and John E. Elsey, both who are deceased. He is survived by his wife Donna. They would have celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on June 19th. He is also survived by two daughters, Samantha Elsey Taylor (Tim) of Pittsburgh, and Dr. Jaclyn Elsey Rominger (Johnnie) of Bridgeport. Tom was a 1967 graduate of Washington Irving High School. He attended Fairmont State College, Linsley Military Institute, and Computer Technical School in Pittsburgh. He served his country for four years in the United States Air Force, stationed in Korea. Tom was employed by Orders Distributing for thirty-five years. He enjoyed watching WVU and Pittsburgh sports. Tom enjoyed boating and taking cruises, and also playing with their granddogs, Bo, Luke, Hoopie and Tobey, and also Miss Kitty. Per his request, he will be cremated.
