Obituary of Dorothy Cianfrocca

Dorothy Louise Pavich Cianfrocca, 88, of Fairmont, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2020, at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. She was born December 28, 1931, in Marion County, WV, a daughter of the late Luka and Angeline Veltri Pavich. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence D. Cianfrocca, on August 19, 1983. Mrs. Cianfrocca was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was a 1948 graduate of Monongah High School. Dorothy retired with over 15 years of service with the Social Security Disability Office, and had previously worked for over 22 years with Owens Illinois Glass Plant in the bottle inspection department. Dorothy enjoyed shopping, as well as decorating and working on crafts. She liked to create, as well as collect ceramic chickens and rooster figurines, having well over 200 plus collectibles. Her home and her family meant everything to Dorothy. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her family brought her so much joy. She is survived by her son, Lawrience “Desi” Cianfrocca, II and his wife Peggy of Fairmont, her daughter Debby Springer of Fairmont, WV, her grandchildren, Heather Ellis, Zac Adair, Mikaelah Seifrit, Matt Drummond, and Megan Drummond, her great grandchildren, Boston Seifrit, Joel Seifrit, Sawyer Adair, Maia, J.J., Summer, Brody Haymond, Dakota Haymond, and Taylor Drummond, as well as her best friend, Jerry Carson. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Brent Cianfrocca, as well as her siblings, Thomas Pavich, Stanley Pavich, and Ann Pavich Markovich. Friends and family may visit the Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 from 5PM until 8PM. Private family funeral services will be held with Father Jojan Joseph C.S.T. and Sister Stella Cronaur C.S.J. officiating with interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Fairmont.
