Dear Kevin & all of the Sidow siblings and families....
I am very sorry for the loss of your Mother. She was always so kind to us (me and my brothers and the neighborhood kids) when we were children playing in your back yard and later as we were growing up. You, and the world, have lost a sweet lady but heaven has gained an angel who will forever watch over her children and grandchildren just as she did when you were growing up.
You're in my thoughts and prayers.
With Love,
Patricia Guido Sell

Dear Meg and family, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your mother Audrey. She was such a cool lady! She and I were in the choir together a couple years at St. Peters and I enjoyed getting to know her spunk and sweet sense of humor. I always think of her and the family when I pass by the ole homestead on my visits home. Wishing you peace, thoughts of comfort and prayers.

I'm so sorry to hear about your mother. I had wonderful times at your mothers; home and help babysitting ; your father was so kind when I was in a car accident in college ; he and your mother came to Bristol Va. so your dad could take of my broken bones when I arrived back in Fairmont; I have thought of them often over the years; my brother just sent me the email and all the good memories came back ; thinking of your family. I have so many great childhood memories growing up next door to the Sidows. I spent a lot of time in their home which was always filled with lots of fun, loads of activity and abiding love. Mrs. Sidow was beautiful and kind, and always made me feel welcome. I have a special place in my heart for her, really all of them. My deepest sympathy goes out to Robin, Liz, Gretchen, Jenny, Kevin, Meg and their families.

THIS WOMAN AUDREY WAS A GREAT PERSON WHO LOVED HER CHILDREN AND TOOK CARE OF THEM AS IF THEY WERE THE LAST ONES ON EARTH. I KNEW THE FAMILY BECAUSE I LIFE GUARDED AT THE FAIRMONT FIELD CLUB IN THE SUMMER OF 1961, NET ALL THE SIDOWS AND LOVE THEM ALL. ROBERT JUNIOR (ROBIN TO ME) HELPED ME ON THE BOAT IN THE MONONGAHELA RIVER DURING MY MASTERS DEGREE FROM WVU ON RESEARCH. DR SIDOW WAS MY DOCTOR WHO TOOK CARE OF MY KNEES AFTER AN AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENT SO HE WAS NO STRANGER TO ME. KEVEN THE ONLY OTHER SON WAS A GREAT GUY TOO. MOM SIDOW CARED ESPECIALLY TO THE 4 GIRLS. THEY WERE VERY INTELLIGENT DUE TO MOMS TEACHING. AUDREY WAS SO GENTLE, NEVER YELLED AND ALWAYS INVITED ME TO THEIR HOME TO HAVE SUPPER. I WENT A FEW TIMES. SHE WAS A GREAT COOK IN ADDITION TO BEING AN EXCELLENT NURSE, EVEN THOUGH I DID NOT KNOW UNTIL NOW THAT SHE WAS A GRADUATE NURSE. I ALWAYS LOVED THE ENTIR FAMILY AND AUDREY IN PARTICULAR BECAUSE DOC WAS ON DUTY AT THE HOSPITAL LOTS OF THE TIME BUT PROVIDED FOR HIS FAMILY. TO ROBERT JUNIOR OR ANYONE IN THE FAMILY PLEASE EMAIL ME AT ANY TIME. DR. MOORE AND WIFE LOIS C. MOORE
P.S. WHILE GOING TO GRADUATE SCHOOL AUDREY AND ROBERT JR BROUGHT A NICK BLANKET TO OUR APARTMENT IN FAIRMONT FOR MY SON JERRY II AND WE STILL HAVE IT AS A KEEP SAKE. JERRY II WAS BORN IN 1965 AT FAIRMONT GENERAL HOSPITAL SHE IS IN GODS HANDS NOW DO DO NOT GRIEVE.

Dear Liz and family, I want to extend my deepest condolences and sympathy to you. I only got to meet Audrey once, but I was immediately impressed by her beauty, her grace and her wit. She was definitely a lady in the truest sense of the word, and I'm awfully glad to have met her. May she rest in peace. Sincerely, Sandy

I remember first meeting Audrey when she & Dr. Sidow were visiting Gretchen and Mark, my dearest friends, in Hawaii in 1984. I remember her then, and today, as witty, kind, loving and humorous. We had some special moments during that first visit ... especially when Audrey and I were sifting broken glass from the chocolate batter when we dropped the bowl on the kitchen floor ... we were NOT going to waste that CHOCOLATE! No way!!! Audrey and I shared in conversation, laughter, chocolate consumption, and many stories about life in general and about our families over the decades since then. She was always a hoot to be with and to joke with. She was always kind and loving. She spoke many times about her loving family ... all her wonderful kids & their families, the grand kids, and the great grand children. I know for sure she was a loving wife to Dr. Sidow, I magnificent mother to her children, a caring compassionate friend to many of us who knew her, and a model citizen and patriot for all to emulate. She was indeed a special lady who lived life to the fullest. I will miss Audrey. The words that will always come to mind about Audrey when I think of her will be "grace", "charity", "laughter" and "love". I hope that the wonderful and loving memories of Audrey's past will assist her family and friends in getting through their enormous loss during these sad times. Until we meet again Audrey, enjoy the never ending chocolate that heaven provides. With God's eternal blessing and loving memories of a great and special lady, -Phil Volpe

We were Audrey's next door neighbors from 1999 until she left in 2013. She was a fine person and great neighbor. We would set out on the porch and gab and play cards in the kitchen. Rest in Peace
