Obituary of Mary Louise Watkins

     Mrs. Mary Louise Watkins, 74 years of age of Rivesville, WV passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at her residence in Rivesville, WV.  She was born February 15, 1945 in Elkins, WV the daughter of the late Merritt and Elsie Moore Lambert. 

     She is survived by her loving husband Roger Watkins.  They had celebrated nineteen years of marriage.  She is also survived by two daughters Kelly Barnes of Fairmont, WV and Stacey Weatherholtz of Martinsburg, WV; two sons Eric Barnes and his wife Christina of High Point, NC and Roger Watkins and his wife Diane of Martinsburg, WV; five grandchildren Steven Baublitz of Rivesville, WV, Hope Baublitz of Morgantown, WV, Alex Barnes of High Point, NC, Klarisa Weatherholtz of Martinsburg, WV and Dalton Weatherholtz of Martinsburg, WV; two sisters Ann Kittle of Philippi, WV and Linda Carole Patton and her husband Tom of Murrysville, PA and two brothers Raymond Lambert of Martinsburg, WV and Richard Lambert and his wife Liz of North Carolina  She was also preceded in death by three sisters, two brothers and her dog Tazzie. 

     Louise was proud to be a homemaker.  Her home was filled with love for her husband, children and grandchildren as well as the wonderful odor of cooking and the one-of-a-kind taste of her delicious chili.  She got to see the beach for the first time with her husband Roger, making that trip and several others in their 1979 Chevrolet Corvette. Many Sunday drives were made in the Vette to Cool Springs and to Dairy Creme Corner for special treats. She loved the wind blowing through her hair. She will be missed by her family, friends and her beloved dog “Biscuit”.

     The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made in Louise’s memory towards the funeral expenses. 

     Friends will be received at the Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, Second and Jasper Streets in Rivesville, WV on Tuesday from noon-2 p.m.  The funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Bill Toothman presiding.  The interment will follow in the Monumental Cemetery.  Condolences my be extended to the family at www.fordfuneralhomes.com.  The Watkins family has entrusted the care and arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, Rivesville, WV.
