Obituary of Amanda Sue Willis

Amanda Sue Willis, 64, of Fairmont, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, at her residence. She was born on December 13, 1954, a daughter of the late Frank Willis and Patty Anne Drain Willis Hendershot.

Amanda is survived by her brother, Frank Willis (Janice) of Rio Rancho, NM; her sister, Bobbi Wolf (Tim) of Davenport, IA; half-brother, Danny Willis of Shinnston; and step-parents, Joe and Pam Hendershot of Fairmont. 

In addition to her parents, Amanda was preceded in death by her grandparents; a brother, Roger Willis; a sister, Jeanette Willis; and step-mother, Pearl Willis.

Amanda was a member of Hampton Road Baptist Church and attended The Baptist Temple for many years. She enjoyed traveling, visiting her sister in Iowa, going to church, and going out to eat. She loved her cat and collected stuffed animal monkeys. She was always ready to go if there was somewhere to go.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to Amanda’s step-father, Joe Hendershot for his love and care over the years.

Family and friends may visit the Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont on Monday, December 9, 2019 from 4PM until 7PM and on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 from 12noon until 1PM.  The memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 1PM with Pastor Josh Carlisle officiating.  Online condolences may be made to www.fordfuneralhomes.com.
