Obituary of Ruby Irene Lipinski

Ruby Irene Lipinski, 94, died October 19, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Camden, WV on June 11, 1925, the daughter of Albert and Daisy Arbogast. Ruby was a resident at Elmcroft Assisted Living in Bridgeport where she enjoyed playing bingo and bridge and tending to her vegetable and flower garden.

Ruby was a former resident of Pleasant Valley, WV where she lived with her husband Ted, whom she married August 27, 1949. She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Ted (Sandi) Lipinski, Jeff (Barbara) Lipinski, and Debbie (Dan) Conaway; her grandchildren, Danielle Conaway, Matt (Katie) Conaway, and Karli (Perry) Mills; three great-grandsons, Eli Cain, Jack and Teddy Conaway; and a sister, Helen Kunzman.

Ruby loved to spend time with her grandchildren, walk in Morris Park, garden, and play bridge and Scrabble. She enjoyed beach trips with family and a trip to Ireland with some of her fellow bridge players. Ruby worked in the corrugation department at Owens-Illinois Glass Company in Fairmont for ten years.

Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Ted; father, Albert; mother, Daisy; two brothers, Ted and Fred Arbogast; and two sisters, Ruth Horn and Marie Tichner.

The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, WV 26554, on Thursday, October 24, 2019, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Friday, October 25, 2019, from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, October 25, 2019, at 10 a.m. A committal service will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery in Pruntytown.
