I first met Lloyd in the early 80's at a Fastwater Flyfishing seminar held at Seneca Rocks. The class was a introductory class on Flyfishing skills, and both myself and Lloyd were side by side working on our casting skills, and a immediate friendship was hatched. Over the years, I become to know Lloyd as both a friend, and fisherman. He became a fantastic fly fisherman, and loved to tie his own flys. One day, I was solo fishing Dry Fork ( one of Lloyds favorite streams), and as I waded thru a riffle, I saw Lloyd in the hole below expertly fishing a nympth. I sat back and watched him fish, and then the reward of his efforts was seen in him landing a nice rainbow. I watched him gently land the fish, and return The fish to its habitat. I was watching a man loving what he was doing. I interupted this scene by wading down to him, and we talked for awhile about fishing, and life in general. We pledged to go fishing soon, and parted ways. When I returned some ten years latter to Bridgeport, I stopped in to see Lloyd now and then, and we always had a great conversation about life, fishing and all points surround those two topics. I can truly say I enjoyed this great man. He will be missed.
