Obituary of Kenneth "Kenny" Ronald Beerbower

Kenneth “Kenny” Ronald Beerbower II, 64, of Fairmont passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2019, after a hard-fought battle with cancer surrounded by family and close friend, Al Kisner. Kenny was born on August 2, 1954, a son of the late Harold Eugene Beerbower and Catherine Elizabeth Beerbower.

Kenny is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Beerbower of Fairmont; his children, Kenneth Beerbower III and his wife Michelle of Myrtle Beach, SC, Beth Ann Beerbower of Summerville, SC, Matthew Beerbower and his wife Jillian of Fairmont, Holly Harris and her husband Danny of Newburg, and Rob Heinze and his wife Kayla of Rivesville; his grandchildren, Sophie, Sadie, Shepard, Gavin, Haley, Ethan, Ethan, Hunter, and Levi; his brother, Harold Eugene Beerbower II; and his beloved dog, Brutus Beerbower.

Kenny was a 1972 graduate of Mannington High School and a graduate of Fairmont State College, where he played football and baseball. He was a brother of the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. Kenny worked for the Marion County Board of Education and was a longtime coach of Fairmont youth sports. He was an avid golfer who enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family and friends. His competitive nature and positivity fueled his fight against cancer which allowed him to make four more years of memories with family and friends.

Due to his devotion to youth sports and many years dedicated to coaching and umpiring, the family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in Kenny’s memory to the Fairmont Little League, 41 Joy Lane, Fairmont, WV 26554.

In accordance with Kenny’s wishes, his body has been donated to the WVU Human Gift Registry to help with cancer research. The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, R.C. Jones Chapel, 1410 Country Club Road, Fairmont, WV 26554, on Saturday, May 25, 2019, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. with a Celebration of Life service following with Pastor Skip Vincent officiating.
