Obituary of Lois C. Nicholson LeMasters

Lois C. Nicholson LeMasters died Monday, April 29, 2019 at Pleasant Acres Christian Haven in Fairmont. She was born May 26, 1926, in Avon (Doddridge County), WV, to Arley L. and Eva Adelaide (Sherwood) Nicholson.

She is survived by one sister Audrey Brooks of Morgantown, and brother Arley E. Nicholson of Dundee, MI. She is also survived by a sister-in-law Marie (Cyril) Nicholson of Hayward, CA. Lois has two surviving nieces Patty (Greg) Riley of Fairmont and Lorie (Joe) Mutchler of Clarksburg, and several other nieces and nephews across the US.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert LeMasters, brothers Orville, Hobert and Cyril (Pete) Nicholson, and sister, Eva Green.

She graduated from Doddridge County High School and worked at Westinghouse, C&P Telephone Office and Owens-Illinois Glass, all in Fairmont.

Lois was a Baptist by faith. She was a homemaker most of her recent life and for her last few months, she resided at Pleasant Acres. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Amedisys Hospice, 67 Casino Drive, Anmore, WV 26323. The family thanks the staff at Hospice and at Pleasant Acres for their loving care of Aunt Loie.

A family graveside service will be held at a later date as Lois chose to be cremated. Ford Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
