Obituary of Juanita Louise Farcin
Juanita Louise Farcin, 91, of Colfax, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2019 at Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born December 13, 1927 in Philippi, WV, a daughter of the late Dorsey L. and Grace Ensminger Booth. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Paul Farcin, Sr. on April 28, 1979.
Mrs. Farcin was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. She was a 1946 graduate of Philippi High School and had worked at Westinghouse in Fairmont. Upon meeting her husband Joe, she married and became a homemaker and mother. Juanita had a quiet and humble nature about her. She became a long-time caregiver to her husband upon his development of physical difficulties. Juanita enjoyed the friendship and support of her close group of “Colfax porch sitters” . She enjoyed listening to East Fairmont High School and WVU sports, as well as Pittsburgh Pirate games on the radio. She mostly loved visits from her kids and grandkids who she adored whole heartily.
She is survived by her children, Allen and his wife Marlene Farcin of Fairmont, Philip and his wife Barbara Farcin of Bridgeport, Joyce and her husband Guy Ward of White Hall, Shirley and her husband Charles Brawner of Baltimore, MD, and Joseph and his wife Sandra Farcin, Jr. of Fairmont, as well as her grandchildren, Kelli and her husband Kevin Morris of Fairmont, Kerri and her husband Brian Thumm of Cannonsburg, PA, Jeff and his wife Stacie Farcin of Fairmont, Christopher Ward of Colfax, Chuck and his wife Lisa Bawner of Baltimore, MD, Melissa and her husband Matt Kisner of Barltimore, MD, Becky Farcin of Michigan, Kim and her husband Hank Middlemas of Pleasant Valley, and Lisa Ulm of Berlin MD. She is also survived by 21 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Richard and his wife Nancy Farcin, her grandson, Michael Ward, and her sister, Rosalee Burner

Friends and family may visit at the Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont on Monday, April 22, 2019 from 2PM until 8PM and on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 from 10AM until 11AM. The funeral will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 11AM with Evangelist Jonathan Stevens officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. Zion Cemetery and Mausoleum.
