Obituary of Bernard Allen "Pete" Cole

Bernard Allen “Pete” Cole, 61, of Pennsylvania Ave, Fairmont, WV, passed away late Saturday evening in the Louis A. Johnson Veterans Hospital in Clarksburg, WV.   He was born December 7, 1957 in Fairmont, WV, son of Frances L. Henderson of Fairmont, WV and the late Bernard Clarke Cole.   Pete was a Christian by faith.   He served five years in the U.S. Navy, stationed in the Philippine Islands.   Pete was a self-employed contractor, with forty, plus years of service.   He also was employed for various construction companies.   He was a member of the l ocal Carpenters Union # 476.   Pete will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor along with his dedication to his family and friends.   He was a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and grandpa.   Rathole Alley will never be the same without "The Famous Pete Cole".   Survivors include his fiancee Brenda Fitzwater of Fairmont, WV,  his two daughters, Amber Lynn and her husband Casey Bartholow of Fairmont, WV and Tiffany Cole of Fairmont, WV,   two grandchildren, Liam Allen Edgell of Fairmont, WV and Bryer Lynn Bartholow of Fairmont, WV,   two sisters, Terry and Mark Sturdivant of Florida and Sherry and Mark Michael of Fairmont, WV,   and a brother, Dean Howerton of Oregon.   He is preceded in death by a brother, Timothy Henderson and his grandparents, Orval Wayne and Mabel Blanch Henderson.   Pete has chosen cremation services.   Family and friends will be greeted Friday afternoon, March 1, 2019, in the Rivesville Community Building from 3pm until 8pm.   A celebration of Pete’s life will be held at 6pm in the community building.   The family requests that any memorial donations be made to his daughter, Amber Bartholow, 1054 Pricketts Creek Rd., Fairmont, WV, 26554.
