Obituary of Ronald E. Sprouse
Mr. Ronald E. Sprouse, 78 years of age of Bridgeport, WV passed away on Friday, May 13, 2016 at his residence. He was born July 27, 1937 the son of the late Okey and Edna Heater Sprouse.
He is survived by his wife Karen Bastin Sprouse. They were married August 8, 1959 and celebrated fifty-six years of marriage. He is also survived by three sons, Mark Sprouse and his wife Gayle and their children Danielle and Kayla, Brad Sprouse and his wife Jennifer and their children Derek, Tyler and Ryan and Doug Sprouse and his wife Kimberly and their children Eric, Audrie and Avery; one daughter, Kristin Watson and her husband Mike and their children Jared and Olivia; a nephew, Sam Miller and a niece, Bonnie Miller. He was also preceded in death by a sister Elaine Miller.
Ron graduated in 1955 from Victory High School and then the School of Hard Knocks. He previously worked for Pittsburgh Plate Glass and Pitney Bowes. During his years of service with Pitney Bowes, he was recognized as being a top performer in sales for the entire company. On February 1, 1993, Ron founded Nutone Hearing Aid Center in Clarksburg, WV and was owner/operator until his retirement in 2006.
He had passion for learning the mysteries of freemasonry. He was a 50 year member of Clarksburg
Lodge #155 A.F. & A.M in Clarksburg, WV. He was also a 32nd Scottish Rite and York Rite Mason, Valley of Clarksburg, and a Shriner in Nemesis Temple of Parkersburg, WV. He was elected to Worshipful Master in 1970. In 1977, he received the KCCH honor and in 2001 was recognized with the honor of being a 33rd degree Mason.

Friends will be received at the Ford Funeral Home, 215 East Main Street, Bridgeport, WV on
Monday from 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM and at the Bridgeport United Methodist Church, 251 Worthington Drive, Bridgeport, WV on Tuesday from 10:00 AM – 10:45 AM. The funeral service will be celebrated in the church on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 with Reverend Steve Engle presiding. The entombment will follow in the Bridgeport Cemetery, Bridgeport, WV.
Members of Clarksburg Lodge #155 will assemble at the church for the purpose of attending the funeral service and conducting ritualistic graveside services.
