We were so sorry to hear about Mr. Tom’s passing on Valentine’s Day. Please know that you and the family are in our thoughts and prayers. Wow, such a life of service with his Marine Corps experience and such a good long life enjoying singing and the beautiful WV country!

Tom was a joy to know. I had the privilege of working with him at Mon Power in Clarksburg at the start of my career. He was always so nice to me and my wife Linda. Always had a big smile on his face and always glad to see you. I remember him inviting Linda and me to see him in a performance of South Pacific at the Benedum Center in Bridgeport. He played one of the leads, the French Planter Emile de Becque. He sang the part perfectly even including a French accent. Knowing now what I didn't know then, that as a US Marine, he had in fact fought in the Solomon Islands (the South Pacific) in World War II (the site of the some of the most horrific fighting in the entire war) I would have appreciated it even more. He was someone special and he will always have a place in our hearts.

Wally and Barb McClure wish to extend our heartfelt condolences to Tom's wife Betty as well as other family members. He was a fine man, always gentle and pleasant to be around and he always took a special interest in each and every person.
We will never forget a special event that we shared with Tom and Betty at Jeff and Nancy's home, in Morgantown at the time (1978) when Barb and I joined them to celebrate our son Nathan's first birthday. Beings how Jeff and Nancy's house happened to have a piano in the living room, it didn't take much time for Tom and I to gravitate to that instrument and with me accompanying him on the piano while he sang numerous songs, we made some beautiful music together. I was astounded to say the least. It was an unforgettable musical event for me and I will say that the beauty and eloquence of Tom's voice was second to none, including Frank Sinatra. He was truly gifted. And he will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him.
