Obituary of Walter "Buddy" Wells

Walter “Buddy” Wells 81 of Rivesville WV went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 30, 2018.  He was born in Rivesville November 3, 1937.  Walter was the son of the late Richard “Dick” and Mildred Monolvick Wells.

Walter graduated from Rivesville High and served in the Navy.  He retired from Westinghouse-Phillips Lighting after 40 years.  He loved his family, hunting, fishing and his dog and faithful companion Gracie. He enjoyed talking on a daily basis with his special friend Robert Carpenter. He loved his church family at Covenant Church in Fairmont.

He is survived by his loving wife Barbara Lee Radford Wells, a daughter Joni Wells and her husband Rick McGee of CA.  He is also survived by a grand-daughter Natasha Bray Fletcher of Oregon, two sisters Brenda Wells of Rivesville and Nancy and her husband Joe Wilkowski of Maryland.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his son Richard Lee Wells and a brother Norman “Chubby” Wells.

Family and friends may call at Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel 207 Second Street Rivesville, WV 26588  from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Thursday, January 3, 2019  and 10-11 AM on Friday, January 4, 2019. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Josh Morgan officiating.  Burial will follow at Arnettsville Cemetery in Arnettsville, WV.  Online condolences to the family may be made to www.FORDFUNERALHOMES.com
