Obituary of Gene L. Rexrode

Gene L. Rexrode, 72, of Fairmont, West Virginia died Wednesday, December 19, 2018 in the Morgantown Health & Rehabilitation Center.  He was born January 5, 1946 in Durbin, WV a son of the late Charles Everett Rexrode & Mabel Griffith Rexrode.  He is survived by his wife Jeaneen Frances Kincell Rexrode of Fairmont, WV.

He is survived by 2 sons Gene L.  & Mindi Rexrode II of Fairmont, WV and Michael David Rexrode & his wife Erica Rexrode of Pensacola, FL, a brother and sister in law Charles   (Flug) & Betty Rexrode of Delaware, Ohio, 2 sisters and a brother in law Wanda Maxine & Harley Kermitt Nottingham of Fairmont, WV and Joyce Dill of Providence Forge, VA, 3 grandchildren Kerensa Lea Larew, Ryland L. Rexrode & Brielle Denise Rexrode all of Fairmont, WV and many nieces & nephews.

Mr. Rexrode was the former owner – operator of the Pleasant Valley Dairy Mart and also, was a produce vendor.  He attended Trinity Assembly of God Church in Fairmont, WV and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  Gene graduated from Green Bank High School and Fairmont State College.  He enjoyed hunting & fishing with family and friends and was a member of the Bass Masters Association.  Gene loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. 

The family will receive friends at the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554 Friday, December 21, 2018 from 2-8 p.m. and Saturday, December 22, from 9-10 a.m.  The funeral service will be held in the funeral home Saturday at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Larry Allen Kincell officiating.  The committal service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Mountain State Memorial Gardens in Elkins, WV.  Military Funeral Honors will be held at graveside.  Online condolences may be made to the family at www.FORDFUNERALHOMES.com
