Obituary of Mary Elouise Kisner

Mary Eloise Kisner, age 94, passed away surrounded by loved ones and loving care on December 17, 2018 at Fairmont Regional Medical Center in Fairmont, WV. She was born August 1, 1924, to the late Tom and Claudia Dodd Riffee. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Kisner.

As a member of Trinity Assembly of God, Mary was devoted to God and her family and treasured life each day. Her prayer in the morning was to thank God for his mercies which are new each day. She enjoyed reading and sitting on her front porch on Pittsburgh Avenue and greeting the neighbors as they walked by. Mary and Richard were lifelong members of Rock Lake Club, spending many years walking around the lake and enjoying time together. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family and friends and felt blessed to have so many loved ones in her life.

Mary is survived by her sons, Arlington (Christine) Kisner of Fort Pierce, FL, Brad (Susan) Kisner of Rock Lake; her daughter, Sally (Doug) Boyce of Rivesville, and daughter-in-law, Darlene Kisner of Rock Lake. She was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Grandchildren include Erin Loudin, Eric Kisner, Jonathan Kisner, Isaac Kisner, Marcus Kisner, Kristin Kisner, Claudia Barto, Stacey Kisner, Steven Boyce, and Jason Boyce. Great-grandchildren include Micah and Caleb Loudin, Raelyn and Kaden Kisner, Eden Blu Kisner, Ava and Lilly Kisner, Noah Hermanowski, Adalynn and Chrissy Barto, Bradley Moore, and Jazen and Tyson Boyce.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by her son, Rev. Gary N. Kisner. She was the last member of her immediate family. Brothers and sisters included Thornton Riffee of Bentons Ferry, Bill Riffee of Boothsville, Donald Riffee of Lake Milton, OH, Alberta Emery, Betty Cooper, and Arlene Herndon of CA.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 22, from 1:00 to 8:00 PM and Sunday, December 23 from noon to 2:00 PM. at Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont. A celebration of Mary’s life will be in the funeral home on Sunday at 2:00 PM with Rev. Norman Butler and Pastor Richard Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Mt.
