Obituary of Ronald Theme Workman

Ronald T. Workman, 82, husband of Barbara J. Workman, went to his home to be with the Lord December 12, 2018.
Ron was born December 12, 1936 in Elkins, WV, son of the late Jackson Emmett and late Lillian Dare (McGinnis) Workman. He graduated from Farmington High School in 1956 and served four years in the United States Air Force.  He worked as a millwright for 50 years, served as a member of the Osiris Shrine, and was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason at Lodge No. 9 AF & AM.
Ron’s favorite pass times were hunting in WV and Colorado, fishing in Alaska and New York, but most of all spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Bond Workman and two great grandchildren, Paisley Nae Hooley and Paisley Grace Workman.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 60 years are his three daughters:  Deborah Symenski and husband Frank of SC, Theresa Workman of WV, and Gwen Workman of SD.  One son: Ronald Workman Jr. of FL.  7 grandchildren:  Charles Workman and wife Lacey, Staci Symenski, Katie Goff, Barbara Jo Workman, Ronald Workman and wife Renee, Ariel West, and Zachary West and wife Alexa.  16 great grandchildren and many cousins, nephews and nieces.

The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, WV 26554, on Monday, December 17, 2018, from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, from 12 noon until 1 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Matt Holbert officiating.
