Obituary of Helena E. Neff Mullen
Helena E. Neff Mullen, 95, of Fairmont, West Virginian passed away Monday, May 9. She was born April 11, 1921 in Paden City, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Homer and Nora Magdaline Healey Neff. She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Edward Mullen.
Helena was a devoted wife and mother. She was a member of the Baptist Temple of Fairmont. She was member of the Fairmont Moose Lodge No.9 Ladies Auxiliary and a volunteer and leader for the girl scouts. She was a former Home Health Aide in the Marion County area.
Helena is survived by her daughter Leota “Jeanie” and Gregory Weaver of Conway, SC and her sons Lawrence “Babe” Mullen of Yulee, FL, Irvin and Pat Mullen of Streator, IL and Dana Mullen of Pontiac, IL. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren including Jodi Palmer of Bruceton Mills, WV, 21 great grandchildren including Christi Perrella of White Hall, WV and 7 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her sister Magdalene Healy.
The family will receive friends at the Ford Funeral Home 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, West Virginia, 26554 on Wednesday May, 11 from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on May 11 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Brian Detrick officiating.
