Obituary of Carol Lynn Erdie Haught

Carol Lynn Erdie Haught, 71, of Fairmont passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018, at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport. She was born in Fairmont on February 27, 1947, the daughter of the late Carl Erdie and Martha Jean Wilson Erdie.

Carol is survived by three sons, Gary C. Haught, Chad Haught and his wife Roxanne, and TR Haught and his wife Jill, all of Fairmont; her daughter, Cherie Haught of Greensboro, NC; seven grandchildren, Nikki, Danni, Jeremey, Karlea, Brittany, Holden and Trent; two brothers, Greg Erdie and his wife Paula of Salsbury, MD and Jeff Erdie and his wife Debbie of Fairmont; a cousin, Judy Sanders and a dear friend, Judy Haught.

Carol was a 1965 graduate of East Fairmont High School and worked as a cook at the John Manchin Sr. Healthcare Facility. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing softball, volleyball, bowling and talking to her friends.

The family requests memorial contributions be made in Carol's memory to the Union Mission, 107 Jefferson St., Fairmont, WV 26554.

The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, WV 26554, on Friday, November 23, 2018, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Saturday, November 24, 2018, from 11 a.m. until 12 noon. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, November 24, 2018, at 12 noon. A committal service will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Fairmont.
