Obituary of Thomas Robert Conrad Jr.

Thomas Robert Conrad Jr., 73, of Fairmont, passed away at his residence. He was born in Bridgeport, CT on December 16, 1944, the son of the late Thomas Robert Conrad and Elizabeth Dawson Conrad. Thomas was preceded in death by his loving wife, Cindy Lee Roche’ Conrad.

Mr. Conrad is survived by a son, Robert Scott Conrad and his companion Staci Greene of Fairmont; two daughters, Regina Robinson and her companion Mike Hamilton of Fairmont and Shelly Snider and her husband Shane of Lumberport; four grandchildren, Scott Conrad, Raven Tennant, Molly Snider, and Weylin Hamilton; three sisters, Geraldine “Gerry” Reeves and her husband Arl of Fairmont, Judy Cunningham and her husband Larry of Mannington, and Jean Moran and her husband Mike of Pleasant Valley; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Thomas was a retired pipe fitter for Local 152 of Morgantown with 50 years of service. He was Methodist by faith and a 1963 graduate of East Fairmont High School. Mr. Conrad was a member of Acacia Lodge #157 of Fairmont, Osiris Shrine Center of Wheeling and Scottish Rite in Clarksburg. He enjoyed hunting, stock car racing, and tinkering in his garage.

The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia St., on Sunday, October 14, 2018, from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Monday, October 15, 2018, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday, October 15, 2018, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Michael Delligatti officiating. A committal service will be held at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Westover where masonic rites will be conducted by the Acacia Lodge #157.
