Obituary of Delphia Mae Tipi
On Tuesday, July 24, 2018, Delphia Mae Tipi, passed away at Ruby Memorial Hospital at age 85. Delphia was born in Keyser, West Virginia on June 12, 1933. She was a daughter of the late Glen and Hazel (Bosley) Swick. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nick Tipi Sr., and her beloved son Michael Glenn Tipi. She is survived by her sons, Nick Tipi, Jr and his wife Rose Mary Iaquinta-Tipi, Thomas Tipi and his wife Beth Tipi. She had a two granddaughters, Angela Rose Tipi, and Sophie Halterman; two grandsons Sammy Matos and his wife Felicity Matos, and Michael Garrett Tipi. She also had 7 brothers and 3 sisters that reside in Keyser, West Virgina; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Delphia had a passion for cooking and baking. Her dishes were admired by many, especially her homemade biscotti's and pizelles. Her favorite pastimes included watching game shows and soap operas; she was also a member of the Fairmont Moose Lodge and multiple bowling leagues. She loved to spend time with her family and never took a moment for granted.
The family will receive friends at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Saturday, July 28, 2018 from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM. A memorial service will be held in the church on Saturday at 10:00 AM with Reverend Father Jojan Joseph presiding. The interment will be held at a later date at Mt. Zion Cemetery and Mausoleum.
