Obituary of Rosa Elizabeth Shaffer

Rosa Elizabeth Shaffer, 87, of the Bellview Community, passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2018 in her residence.  She was born March 12, 1931 in Grafton, WV a daughter of the late Roy D. and Hannah Moats DeMoss.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell W. Shaffer.

Mrs. Shaffer was a graduate of Grafton High School and a homemaker in her own home.  She was a member of Highland Avenue United Methodist Church and the Martha Circle for over 50 years. 

Survivors include her son, Ronald W. Shaffer, a granddaughter, Jessica and her husband Joshua Pierce, a brother, Carl and his wife Cathy DeMoss, and her sisters, Shirley and her husband Butch Kiger, and Barbara Hendrickson.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly A. Shaffer, her brother, Ronald D. DeMoss, and her sisters, Cathleen, Maxine, Jean, Freda, and Ruth.

Friends and family may visit the Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont on Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 2PM until 4PM and 6PM until 8PM, as well as on Friday, July 6, 2018 from 10 AM until 11AM.  The funeral will be held in the funeral home on Friday, July 6, 2018  at 11AM with Reverend Micah Blanks officiating.  Interment will follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Fairmont.  Online condolences may be made to www.fordfuneralhomes.com.
