Linda, I hope this reaches you. I live in Morgantown and don’t often read a Fairmont obituaries. I saw your brother’s today and want to tell you how sorry I am. His picture shows a definite family resemblance to you. Hope you and J.D. are doing well.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I'd like to share some real hope with you. In Psalms 14:4 tells the condition of the dead. In John 5:28-29 the bible promises a resurrection of our loved ones back to earth. When Jesus resurrected Lazarus from the dead, he brought him back to earth. He's going to do that on a much larger scale in the future. In Psalms 37:11+29 says man will live forever on the earth in peace. That was God's original purpose, for man to live forever in the garden of eden. God's purpose hasn't changed. In Isaiah 45:18 says God created the earth to be inhabited. That's why he gave his son to die for us, John 3:16, so we could have everlasting life on earth. In Revelation 21:4 says there'll be no more pain or death. Since there's no pain or death in heaven, those are future conditions on earth under God's kingdom arrangement. www.JW.org

I couldn't believe Steve passed away... I didn't know him well, but I do remember him from high school.. He was always the guy with a smile and always seemed so happy... He was a really nice person. My sympathy and prayers to his family.

Please accept my sympathy on the passing of Steve. His death was a total shock to me.
Steve was such a great person, one of the kindest and I thought the world of him. I will miss Steve and his smiling face. He had such a good nature about him.
As you know, I lost my brother five years ago, so I know full-well the heartbreak that you are feeling. The pain does ease with time but the memory of him is still so very much alive and I think that is what has helped me the most.
My thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family.

Steve was one of those good neighbors that we were fortunate to have. He always had a wave, a salute, a good word when I put up a new American Flag or anything else patriotic. Steve I don't know what to say other than I am in shock/ heartbroken and just so hard to believe. I have so many memories with you and so many of our little group of friends and fun times back when we young adults. I have seen you a lot lately sitting on your porch as I drop Caleb off at his grandmothers and now I wish I had stopped more often and visited. Your smile will be remembered forever and you may be gone but never forgotten. Thoughts and prayers are with all your friends & family. May God be with all you during such a sad time. RIP!!!

Oh my goodness Steveie. I remember living on City View going to your house to get fruit in your orchard. We used to hang out at the playground all the time. I remember you taught me a song called sipping cidar. We would swing on the swings and sing that song for hours. I think of you often. Proud you were a part of my past.
