Obituary of Linda Fox Furgason
Linda L. Fox Furgason, 73, of Henry Dr., Fairmont, WV, went to be with the Lord early Monday morning in Fairmont General Hospital. She was born May 6, 1946 in Hunnington, WV, daughter of Lloyd and Ernestine Murphy Fox. Linda was a Methodist by faith, having attended Central United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Fairmont State College and received her Master’s Degree from West Virginia University. She was employed by the Marion County Board of Education as a teacher, teaching in several schools including Rivesville Elementary School. Linda was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her concern for her children, grandchildren, family members, and friends will always be remembered. Survivors include her husband, Bill Furgason of Fairmont, WV (53 years of marriage), 3 sons and their spouses, Chad and Amy Furgason of Lexington, KY, Jarrod and Courtney Furgason of Charleston, WV, and Tyson and Jessica Furgason of Fairmont, WV, a daughter, Kevi Furgason of Pittsburgh, PA, 6 grandchildren, Lukas and Cole Furgason of Lexington, KY, Grace and Jake Furgason of Charleston, WV, and Fletcher and Kipper Furgason of Fairmont, WV, a brother, Jeff Fox of Shelbyville, TN, a brother-in-law, Jim Thompson of Pataskala, OH, a brother-in-law and his wife, Tom and Margaret Furgason of Rivesville, WV, a sister-in-law and her husband, Beth and Bob Thompson of Inwood, WV, several nieces and nephews including, Brian Thompson of Pataskala, OH, Jason Thompson of Logan, OH, Sammy Furgason of Morgantown, WV, Tommy Furgason of Colorado, Erica Furgason of Rivesville, WV, Megan Michael of Inwood, WV, Janna Brown of Elkins, WV, Ryan Taylor of Inwood, WV, and Trevor Taylor of Inwood, WV., and a special Aunt and Uncle, Bud Bowling of Washington, PA and Freda Michael of Rivesville, WV, She was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Thompson. Mrs. Furgason has chosen cremation services. Family and friends will be greeted during a memorial visitation at Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, Jasper St., Rivesville, WV from 11am until 1pm on Saturday, June 16, 2018.
