Obituary of Vonda P. Casto

Vonda P. Casto, 92, of Glady Creek Community passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016 in the Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. She was born February 6, 1924 in Buckhannon, WV the daughter of the late Sylvantus A. Post & Josephine Peters Post. She was preceded in death by her husband Francis K. Casto in 2003. Mrs. Casto is survived by a son and daughter in law James & Coleen Casto of Glady Creek Community, a daughter Shirley Casto of Pleasant Valley, WV, 3 grandchildren Sharon Knight of Fairmont,WV, Kelly & her husband Scott Fleming of Fairmont, WV and Timothy & his wife Christie Casto of Glady Creek Community, 6 great grandchildren Patrick & his wife Meredith Knight, Lauren Knight, Jenna Casto, Emma Casto, Charlotte Fleming & Adrian Fleming, 2 great – great grandchildren Celia Knight & Wren Knight and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers Merlin D. Post and Maynard Post. She was a homemaker, member of the Walnut Grove United Methodist Church and a graduate of Buckhannon Upshur High School. Mrs. Casto enjoyed gardening, bird watching and hosting holiday dinners for her family. She was faithful to her daily devotion time with her bible. The family will receive friends at the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554 Tuesday, April 19, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday, April 20, 2016 from 10-11 a.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jim Zinn officiating.
