Although I have only met Mr. Cheslock a time or two I had the pleasure of "getting to know him" through his daughter, Marcie. It is evident from the way she speaks of him with reverence and love that he possesses all the traits of a wonderful father. I am certain that you are all heartbroken and feeling lost without him. My heart is heavy for each of you. I wish I had magic words to take away your pain; my advice is to hold onto those dear memories and use them to comfort your spirit. Share them with with others, if you are so inclined, to give comfort to them as well. With love, Pam

Sending my prayers, love and sincere condolences to the Cheslock family. Some of the most wonderful memories of my high school days were spending time at the Cheslock home with Ernie, Ileda, Debbie, Shelly, Monica, Marcie and Kyle. There were just some unforgettable times. Lots of laughs, some tears and lots of laughter that produced tears. What a terrific family. I know Ernie loved golf, bowling and sports, in general, but that did not compare to the love he had for his family. I know at this very moment he has reunited with family members who have gone on before him. Thank you all for sharing some of those family memories with me. I will cherish them always. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and all of your family. We were all blessed to have Uncle Ernie in our lives. He had many roles in his life, son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend. Family was important and he loved his garden and the farm. Keep him in your heart and he will be with you forever. We love you.

The Cheslock Family will always have a special place in my heart. Although they had a large, busy family, when I was a child, they always had room in their home and their hearts for me.
