Obituary of Doris Lucille Sine

Doris Lucille Sine, 97, of Fairmont Rd., Morgantown, WV, passed away early Wednesday morning in Ruby Memorial Hospital.   She was born September 10, 1920 in McCurdysville, WV, daughter of the late Dennis and Kate Varner Thorne.   She was preceded in death by her husband Milford Reason Sine, who died in 2000.   Doris was a member of McCurdysville United Methodist Church and recently attended Highlawns United Methodist Church.   She was a graduate of Fairview High School.   Doris retired from the Marion County Board of Education, with 20 years of service, working with Baxter and Rivesville Elementary schools as a library aide and secretary.   Earlier in life she loved to work crossword puzzles and crypto quotes.   She truly enjoyed country music shows and all family activities.   She enjoyed being with her grandchildren.   Survivors include a son, William R. Sine of Grant Town, WV,   a daughter and her husband, Irene and Richard Stefanick of Arnettsville, WV,   6 grandchildren, Tina and Michael McCay of Richmond, VA, William Brian and Felecia Sine of McCurdysville, WV, Lisa Walters of Fairmont, WV, Eric and Tina Efaw of Fairview, WV, Stephen and Ainsley Stefanick of Eldersburg, MD, and Melanie and J. W. Moore of Arnettsville, WV,   11 great grandchildren, Jessica McCay, Emma and Ean Sine, Austin Efaw, Maddie Walters, Gage Efaw, Camryn and Avery Stefanick, and Breah, Colton, and Jaxon Moore,   A special friend, Carol Overstreet of Arnettsville, WV, and several nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Robert Sine and Randy Sine,   a daughter-in-law, Jeanie Sine,   3 brothers, Bower, Virgil, and Herbert Thorne,   and 3 sisters, Belva Thorne, Nancy Cottrill, and Dorotha James.   Family and friends may call at Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, Jasper St., Rivesville, WV from 3pm until 8pm on Friday and 11am until 1pm on Saturday.   Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Saturday, 3-24-2018, at 1pm, with Rev. Stanley Merrifield officiating.   Burial will follow in McCurdysville Cemetery in McCurdysville , WV.  .
