I was recently thinking about how much golf I used to play and I thought about Mike and decided to do a search online to see where he might be located now. I was heartbroken to learn of his passing in 2018. Mike was a great guy and we had such a wonderful time when he owned Classic Golf. Although very late in posting, my feelings and wishes of condolences to Mikes family are sincere. Mike was just one of those great guys. Rest in peace old friend.

Mike was my cousin, and it's been hard thinking about what to write here. His grandmother was my Great Aunt (sister to my grandmother). We were together several times - when his grandmother was dying of cancer, visits to Parkersburg, etc. We emailed often too. Mike was very supportive and I miss him!
Rest in peace, cousin!

Dear Mike aka Troutman-
You were the type of brother that prepared me to be a compassionate fun loving hard ass. Great traits for being an elementary school teacher and mother to a teenager. Our rough and tumble fun loving childhood on Circle Drive- playing outside, you teaching me how to shoot a hoop, how to play a fierce game of kick the can, and especially teaching me the art of "streaking" prepared me for just about anything I encounter in the public schools. You were always there for me- beyond generous with everyone you encountered- You were a natural teacher and your sense of humor could win over anyone and everyone. It is your dedication to being the proud Uncle that hurts the most right now as Javon graduated last night and will be running cross country in college. I know you would be beyond proud.
I love you Mike. I miss you and you giving me a hard time even when you were suffering so much in the end. We can't physically be there for your celebration of life but we are there in spirit and planned to hit a bucket of golf balls in your honor.
with love-
Julie (otherwise known as "shithead" to you), Harvey, and your nephew Javon
Rest In Peace

My sympathies to all of Mike's family and friends. I had the pleasure of working with Mike. He always had that big smile on his face and that wonderful laugh. It was a pleasure being around someone that truly enjoyed life every day. A kind person with a gentle soul. The world would be such a better place if there were more just like Mike Trout. May the sadness that we're all feeling soon be replaced by all the wonderful memories that we have of Mike. You will be missed. Rest in Peace my friend.
