Obituary of Patsy R. Price
Patsy R. Price, 89, of McLane Dr., Fairmont, WV, went to be with the Lord Friday afternoon, February 23, 2018. She was born September 5, 1928 in Akron, Ohio, daughter of the late Hunter E. and Mabel Gould Newcome. She was preceded in death by her husband Ervin B. Price in 2006. They had been married 57 years. Mrs. Price was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, formerly 1st UMC. She recently attended Victory Baptist Church. She earlier was an active member of the United Methodist Women and Church Women Circles. Patsy was a graduate of Fairmont Senior High School in 1946. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and received her Diamond Circle Ritual as a 60 year member. Working briefly at A & P Grocery, she spent years as a house wife and mother in the Fairmont area. In her earlier years she enjoyed crafting, volunteering at the hospital, being active in the garden club, and bowling. She recently enjoyed sewing Yo – Yo’s for table runners and quilts. Survivors include 2 daughters, Beverly Engle of Lewisburg, WV and Sandra and her husband Kris Ravis of Fairmont, WV, a son and his wife, Rev. Rick and Susie Price of Demorest, GA, 6 grandchildren, Danielle and Drew Grier, Chad and Megan Engle, Chris and Stacey Price, Jessica and D. J. Nunan, Hannah Edge, and Jake Price and his fiancé Jen Fleming, 6 great grandchildren, Sydney Grier, Layla Grier, and Abigayle Grier, Elizabeth Price, Caroline Price, and Levi Nunan, a sister and her husband, Florence and Earl Yost of Monumental, WV, a brother, Kenneth Newcome of Virginia Beach, VA, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Charlotte Newcome. Family and friends may call at Ford Funeral Home, R. C. Jones Chapel, 1410 Country Club Rd., Fairmont, WV from 6pm until 8pm on Monday and 10am until 11am on Tuesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Tuesday, 2- 27- 2018, at 11am, with Pastor Nathan Barker and Rev. Rick Price officiating. Burial will follow in Mannington Memorial Park in Mannington, WV.
