Obituary of Josephine Dale Berry

Josephine Dale Berry, 92, of Rosewood Ave., Fairmont, WV, passed away Wednesday afternoon in her residence. She was born February 24, 1924 in Rivesville, daughter of the late Peter Paul and Katie Dale Floyd Crescenzi. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph W. Berry, who died in 2001. Mrs. Berry was a member of the former First United Methodist Church in Fairmont, WV, earlier being active with the nursery and kindergarten church education. She was also active with the Cub Scout and Boy Scout troops in the 1960’s and 1970’s. Mrs. Berry enjoyed working with the Christmas Program given by the VFW for those with special needs. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include 3 sons; Frank Berry of Fairmont, WV, Ralph Berry, Jr. of Union MI, and Daniel And his wife Debra Berry of South Bend, IN, 6 grandchildren and their spouses; Christine and Chad Matlick of Morgantown, WV, Danielle Berry and Juan Herrera of Chicago, IL, Brett Berry, Michelle and Marc Horn, Daniel and Micolitte Berry, and Molly Berry-Mickles all of South Bend, IN, 6 great grandchildren; Dylan and Jackson Horn, Madeline and Maverick Mickles, Gabriela Herrera, and Trey Berry, a special sister-in-law, Betty Smith of Fairmont, WV, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Angelo Crescenzi and Nathan Crescenzi, 6 sisters; Nellie Cunningham, Pearl Beatty, Mary Painter, Dollie Cross, Peggy Wilson, and June Dublin. Mrs. Berry has chosen cremation services. Family and friends may call at Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, WV from 11am until 5pm on Sunday, April 10, 2016.
